Annually 300 young teachers start working at Perm educational institutions.

The Department of Education of the Perm Administration emphasizes that more than 30% of the total number of working teachers are young specialists under the age of 35. In total, more than 12,000 teachers now work in the city's schools.

Perm government wants to make teachers’ work at schools more comfortable. Anna Demeneva, Head of the Department of Education of the Perm Administration,  says, that constant professional development is the most important thing for the career success of a teacher.

“We understand that every young teacher needs support and professional feedback on their first steps in career. Our aim is to provide additional confidence for every Perm teacher with the help of regular training and mentors’ work. This is the only way to solve the complex tasks facing Perm education,” comments Anna Demeneva.

The number of young teachers in Perm increases constantly. Educational institutions create conditions for the development of professional competences of young teachers. These are mechanism of stimulation and mentoring system. The most popular subjects for young teachers are the Russian language and Literature, Physics, History and Social Science, Pedagogy and Psychology.

Comparing with the previous academic year the number of teachers winning in the city, regional or national competitions has grown, which means that the participants are well prepared. For example, the team of teachers mentored by a teacher from the Perm School of Economics No. 145, won “Ambitious” competition last year. The competition is organized annually with the aim of revealing the creative and professional potential of teachers.
